Customer Service Agent

Job Description

Coach USA, the largest privately-owned, U.S. based bus company in the country, is hiring a part-time Customer Service Agent at its Janesville, WI location. The Customer Service Agent is an ambassador of Coach USA. This role is primarily responsible for selling tickets to passengers and dealing with the day-to-day operations at the passenger terminal.


Essential Functions:

• Resolve passengers’ inquiries and complaints in person.
• Communicate with passengers in a pleasant and personable manner
• Sell tickets, verify electronic tickets, accurately handle cash transactions, and operate credit card equipment.
• Maintain company equipment and replace ticket stock.
• Perform janitorial tasks on a shift basis
• Shovel snow and spread salt around the terminal when necessary, and maintain a snow removal/salt log
• Make public address announcements of arrivals and departures.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Proven customer service experience
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Able to work in inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules, which includes occasional weekends and holidays
