Job Title: Human Resources Manager – Golden Pass
Department / Division: Coach USA Industrial Division
FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt / Salary
Work Location: Orange, TX
Salary: $70,000
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Promote SAFETY AWARENESS and CUSTOMER SERVICE.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors and legal representation, to ensure compliance
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- All other duties as directed by the Project Manager.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards is a plus.
- Advanced project management skills to effectively manage time and prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks without close supervision, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent in negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Generalist background, with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, communications, performance management, and training and development.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources roles, preferably in the transportation or emergency services industry.
- Experience with HR policies and procedures with emphasis on payroll processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with payroll and accounting software
